Ann Rasberry has been carving.in wood since 1987. She has studied with Jim Sprankle, Bob Guge, and Desiree Hajny, and competes annually in the Ward Foundation's World Carving Championships in Ocean City, Maryland where she has won several ribbons.

Ann's carvings include several species of ducks and raptors, particularly canvasback and scaup hens, and the smaller owls, merlins and other falcons. Her carvings are both life-sized and in miniature.

Recently she has been greatly influenced by Desiree Hajny, and is obsessed with carving wolves. Her work is now including some interpretive work as well.

In addition to her highly detailed carvings Ann is exploring the traditional Scandinavian methods of hand carving spoons and kuksas.
